Hong Kong at Expo 2010

Hong Kong’s performing arts groups and visual artists will join forces to perform the largest cultural program organized outside of Hong Kong for Expo 2010.  The performances will be staged in prominent performing art venues in Shanghai, such as Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Shanghai Theatre Academy and Shanghai Concert Hall.  Artists will also perform on the Expo site.

The artists will showcase their talent with 26 programs with over 70 performances and four visual art exhibitions during the six-month Expo period.  Genres that will be seen include Cantonese opera, Chinese and western music, dance, drama, opera, musical theatre and multimedia performances.  Also two large-scale visual art exhibitions –‘’Legacy and Creations – Ink Art vs Art Ink’’ ans ‘’Legacy and Creations – Art vs Art’’ – will be jointly presented by Hong Kong Museum of Art and two leading museums in Shanghai.
